How to create the perfect beauty blogging space
Want to know why we love blogging? Absolutely anybody can try it and absolutely anybody can be good at it – regardless of your writing skill or experience. Some incredibly talented makeup artists and beauty experts have used it as a platform to help spread their knowledge and showcase their art, and we’ve got tons of lovely faces we can’t live without on our screens.
One thing none of our favourite bloggers skimp on, however, is the tools and lighting they use to get the perfect makeup. We take inspiration from just a couple of our faves & give our advice for the ultimate beauty blogger setup for the ultimate vids and shoots.
Maria Fowler
One of our favourite ex-TOWIE babes and an absolute GENIUS at makeup (if you don’t believe us, check out her Instagram), Maria Fowler’s simple layout (image below) is functional and classy. We love how easy to reach her makeup is from the desk and the way her (Illuminated Mirrors, of course) large Hollywood dominates the otherwise plain table. You can tell she’s a pro!
Laila Loves
If you haven’t seen her incredible makeup looks, where have you been? We’re HUGE fans of this London travel and beauty blogging babe. We defy you to look at her collection and NOT be inspired – the ultimate makeup owning queen.
Iamchoquette
Stylish, sophisticated, organised…and that’s just the owner. Fashion specialist Claire calls her blog Choquette after a small, sweet French cake but we think no amount of dessert can be as sweet as her incredible makeup room.
It’s the combination of clear glass and a transparent table that really work well in this setup, and Claire makes maximum use of lighting and clever design to create something that’s functional as well as drop-dead-gorgeous.
And, if you’re not impressed by that, you will be by her dressing room. Too much love.
Tea Party Beauty
What we love most about the gorgeous Hayley’s setup is just how well it functions for everyday life and how versatile the style could be for virtually any room. Using an IKEA table and one of our white Hollywoods, it’s a beautifully clear cut design that could work with virtually any colour scheme and any amount of makeup. What’s more, her personal touches in the prints she has on her desk are a gorgeously luscious way to decorate without going overboard.
