DIY Holiday Decorations
Christmas is a time not only for giving, but for decorating! So why not try your hand at some DIY Christmas decorations this year? It’s a great way to be economical while also getting your family and friends together to spread a little holiday cheer. Below are a few ideas to give your home the festive boost it needs this season:
Let It Snow!
While fake snow can make a bit of a mess, a great way to incorporate snow to your home without the hassle is to fill about one third of a large glass mason jars with fake snow. Following this, nestle a think stump-like candle in the middle and let the glow of holiday cheer take over your home! It’s a very easy project and one that will bring warmth and light to any room!
Picture Perfect
In a digital age where we often use our phones and digital cameras to share photos, it’s always lovely to go through our reel and print out some great memories. So why not get your favourite snapshots developed? Not only will you have a laugh by looking back through old memories, you can also print photos on various types of paper to compliment your Christmas tree, your wreath or to simply place around the house in holiday themed frames.
Monogram Mania
Monogrammed Christmas themed items can sometimes be difficult to find in store, since certain letters are sold out faster than others. Rather than stand in a queue and hunt around for what you need, applying a few basic sewing skills can turn any holiday item in to a personalised masterpiece! We recommend embroidering letters on stockings, or painting them on Christmas ornaments. It’s a fab way to get everyone (young and old) involved to add a dash of individuality to your holiday décor!
Grab your friends, family and a cup of cocoa and get cracking! Personalised decorations are a great way to economise this season. Speaking of which – by using the code XMAS5OFF until December 31st and the code BLACKFRIDAY5 on November 27th you can get 5% off your Illuminated Mirrors purchase – Happy Holidays!
